It looks Ningbo is USDA zone 9b, you should be able to grow a lot of great palms there!  

A lot of China is surprisingly warm, even in higher lattitudes, and even at distance from the coast.

In winter, sometimes the extreme minimum temperature in Ningbo is only - 6°C(not every year), so many palms still can't survive outdoors (only some species can survive, such as Washingtonia filifera、Livistona chinensis、Phoenix canariensis Chabaud、Sabal palmetto、Phoenix sylvestris、Jubaea chilensis)

I read many American articles. Although we are far away, our dream is so close. That is to let our favorite palms survive in the cold yard. In fact, only some southern regions of China are suitable for planting a variety of palms, and other places are limited by the cold
