licuala grandis repotting help

Hello, complete beginner here so I apologize if this questions sound stupid. 

I have licuala grandis I purchased last july, and the store I bought said you need to replant in next April or so I have questions about that. Living in Ankara, Turley.

 

1 - I have some browning/yellowing on the tips only, can I do something about that? What is the probable reasons for that?

2 - My current pot is 25 cm in diameter, so I was thinking getting 35cm in diamater? 

3 - Any special kind of soil mixture I need to use for this palm? 

4 - Should I use any fertiziler after repotting? 

5 - Any advice in general how to take care of better?

Less than optimal humidity causes burnt tips, but they look very minor in your case. Your palm looks fine; if you've had it for 9 months, then you're doing something right. You can mitigate browning to some extent by using a very well aerated, very free-draining medium, and, of course, increasing the ambient humidity. Old leaves will naturally brown as the palm reabsorbs them.

These palms can be prone to root rot when over-potted. I'd go up by about an inch around the circumference, which would be something like a 30cm pot or something close to that, to be on the safe side. Maybe it wouldn't make a huge amount of difference, but that's my feeling.

I'd definitely improve drainage in any loam-based compost you're planning to use with pumice, perlite, seramis, bark chips, coir chips, etc. Water should get from the top to the bottom in not more than a few seconds. This might also help your burnt tips in future leaves. I'd also add a slow-release fertiliser like Osmocote.
This is what I'd do if it were my palm; however, it really looks perfectly healthy as it is.

Be very careful not to disturb the roots when you repot. I’ve killed several Licualas by jostling their root systems too much. You need a loose, coarse, free draining potting medium as mentioned above. Do not fertilize when repotting - wait a few months.  Make sure pot has adequate drain holes and do not let pot sit in tray of water. Keep potting medium moist but not soggy. Don’t overwater.
