Advice for Dypsis decaryi in 9a

Well - here’s my précious Triangle palm -I rescued her 2 years ago -  she survived last year’s 14 freeze temps here in St Augustine while tucked against the east side of the house during a construction project. She is now placed in a lovely but lonely location in the open on the south end of the house near the pool. Our last frost day was 2 weekends ago. Fronds have evolved to this deep bronze over the past week.  I applied copper fungicide to the spear area but that’s it. Any suggestions?

Now that it is a bit milder, mark the spear and an adjacent petiole at the same level and monitor for growth.  If the spear is moving, then it is recovering.  It looks like one side of the spear took a hit, so the first leaf opening may be a bit deformed.  It may not hurt to put some hydrogen peroxide into the spear on that side just to see if it bubbles up intensely.  Sometimes fungal infections get a foothold after events like this where the palm is a bit weak, but not dead.

Made the marks. No bubbles.
