Jesse PNW 697 Report post Posted February 8 Sorry for the amateur question but I haven't seen this before. Mail-order Chamaerops seedlings, oli guess this is a remote germinator? It looks to me like they were planted too deep? Should I just cover the roots or also cover the ligule/stem/sheath (help me with terminology please?) that is white-ish and was obviously under ground before? You're right, these are remote germinators. I would plant the seedlings so that the cotyledon sheath, radicle and lateral roots are covered with soil.
