These are growing all around a house we did some work at in Corpus Christi.  They've been hacked down by "landscapers" but they're everywhere so they obviously run.  They look familiar but I can't place them.  Debating whether to dig one up or if they're a no-go.

Does look interesting ..but yeah, lol.. might be one of those things that is safest in a pot.  ..Agree, can't always pass up a free plant. Supposedly edible too.

I got it running free in my rain forest --adds to the tropical look along side syngonium and Diplazium escuelenteum ---love it

These were fairly common in the San Antonio area, but I don't know if they survived last February. Its on my to buy list.
