Hey Guys, I am in panic mode. I have no idea what is going on with my Christmas Palms. It seems only new Fronds are affected. It seems to pop up over night. Is it an easy fix, It looks like something is eating them, I looked and no bugs, mites or anything...:(

I am sorry for your palm. It is a fertilizer toxicity.

Stop fertilize your palms during winter season.

I have a example for you:

image.thumb.png.a63512cf461aec5b339d52ece388c167.png

Here I have Licuala Peltata Sumawongii and a Hydriastele Beguinii var Obi Island.

They both reacted immediately after I applied Humus + Fe (Iron) + Low Nitrogen in the middle of the winter.

Licuala almost died.

Both recovered, but they suffered an entire year.

Also check for spider mites under the leaf.

Looks like sunburn to me.

But you have probably already ruled that out,

so Cristi may be right.

Cheers Steve

It is not dead, it is just senescence.

I think it is sunburn, Personally I never thought LED grow lights could burn a sun loving Palm :P
