Fronds Starving?

Hey Guy, are my 14 month old Christmas Palm seedlings dying?, The newer fronds have brown tips and look like they are withering away. They look like fond natural die off, but these fronds are not that old?

Thanks

I have seen the yellowing on my in ground Trachy and was told it was nutritional deficiency, but won't be feeding it now in winter. You can go ahead and feed yours lightly now if you wish, however.  Yellowing can also be humidity related. I think the bigger issue is spider mites, because to me it looks like an infestation, based on the coloration. Adonidia seem to resent indoor life and can be prone to mites for some reason. I would bring them over to the sink and wash the undersides, maybe with a hose, and then spray with an insecticidal soup.  Maybe improving ventilation and separating them more would help, but that's just my opinion. Good luck and Happy New Year!

I checked for Spider Mites and there are none, I don't the right environment for them. I am thinking nutrition maybe..The older fronds on some of them are still in good shape, it is the newer ones.

Are you watering them with unfiltered tap water? The chlorine and salts in tap water will build up in the ends of the fronds and cause browning. I used to buy distilled water for my palms but that got to be really expensive after a few palms. I bought a $40 filter for my sink off of Amazon and now we're cool.

I think you may be overwatering. Let them dry more, especially if the soil retains moisture and especially if they get very little sun.

I might be wrong...
