Brahea armata x Bismarckia nobilis cross?

Not aware of anyone having done this cross, not even sure it is possible or would be viable,  but would LOVE to see it.   Nothing prettier than the Bismarck palm, but it needs to be a bit more hardy!  Brahea would accomplish that,  keeping the silver color tones, and Bismarckia may yield faster growth/larger size/beautiful stiffer silver leaves!  Just a pipe dream, but hey what else is there to do in winter?  Hope you all had a great holiday!    :D

Not possible, but nice thought!  It's possible that Bismarckia could be crossed with Hyphaene because they are closely related but probably not.  It wouldn't be any more cold hardy though.  Merry Christmas!

Yeah kinda figured; if it would work, someone would have done it by now lol.    Have a great new year!  :-)
