My center spear on my baby Sabal Palmetto that i recently transplanted into a pot from my back yard's spear has turned white.

Is this bud rot?

And how do i fix it?

The other leaves' bases look very white as well...

it probably died from the transplant shock.  Sabal palmettos are notoriously difficult to dig up at a young age.  White mold on the whole plant is probably not recoverable.

Formerly in Gilbert AZ, zone 9a/9b. Now in Palmetto, Florida Zone 9b/10a??

Is it a seedling? Those can be easier to dig out but you're still taking a big risk. Has the spear pulled? If not, mark it with a sharpie to monitor for any growth. Water it well and do not fertilize.
