Progressive leaf spotting on Cocos nucifera

Recommended Posts

My coconut palm is around two years old now and pushing fronds at a pretty good pace. Within a couple months of opening up they develop brown leaf spots which slowly grow and expand towards the base turning the frond yellow then brown. It has been holding only 3-4 entirely green fronds at a time.

I suspect potassium deficiency and have been fertilizing every few months. Could this be something else? Poor drainage?
