It might be possible to tissue culture rare palms from their inflorescence, much like how some date palms are tissue cultured. In fact, it might be possible to get a date palm tissue culture lab to do the work.

Any idea what it would take in terms of regulatory hurdles to do this with Hyophorbe amaricaulis? Maybe if someone has a more common member of the genus handy, we could see if it's even a viable proposition to use the inflorescence.
