He's talking about the suckers that are coming out of the trunk 10 feet off the ground. Seeds just don't sprout in trunk boots here in Arizona. It literally rains less than 10 times per year.

Should turn into a really cool multi headed palm.:greenthumb:

Didn't think about the lack of rain there in Arizona.  Here in Florida, everything sprouts right where it lands.  Of course, you are probably correct...

This customer also keeps his palm cut to high and when seed heads form they get cut off pretty quick because tree trimmers charge a lot more if the dates are bigger than marbles
