Archontophoenix Maxima/Alexandrae First Inflorescence

I purchased this palm as A.Maxima. It produced its first inflorescence this year which seemed to have trouble breaking free completely on its own so I helped pull the remaining sheath away.

My question is: does this look like it will produce viable seed?

Or will it produce duds the first couple times out before it finally gets it right.

Holy early puberty Batman!

I’d say it stands a great chance of a nice crop of seeds.

How tall is the palm?

Nice thanks Dave! At the top of the leaves 16-17 feet. Approx 6 feet of trunk. Compared to other Archontophoenix in my yard that are similar height this is the first to flower.

If they produce viable seed I am going to try my first run at germinating them. I’m looking forward to it!
