Is Palmpedia maintained by or otherwise related to the Palmtalk forum? And is there a known reason why I haven't been able to access the site for several days?

I'm pretty certain it's separate ownership, and I'm having no issues accessing it.

I just tried it again, and now I can access it. When I tried it a couple hours ago, it didn't respond and left no message about why. I'm glad I can continue now making a list of my palms with varying sun exposure tolerances.

  • 5 months later...

I have not been able to access palmpedia in several weeks. It just spins and never loads. Does anyone know who maintains palmpedi or if there is anything we can do to get it back online?

Palmpedia is an amazing resource!

It's been up and down for me. It's been down for the last 24 hours, but I've made extensive use of it in the last couple months. The moderator, Dean Ouer, might know something about it. The author of Palmpedia is edric, who lives in Florida.

I've just used it on my mainframe, and now it's fine. This is typical - it is unavailable for a day or part of a day, then is available again. What would be nice would be to have an explanation of what is going on. Or, if it is necessary to take it down for maintenance or the adding of additional information, to have an online notification of some sort.

I think the owner is edric, the Palmtalk nom de plume of Ed Vaille in Oak Hill, Florida.
