Hi Everyone!
My sons roommate left this behind and he knows how much I love plants.  I couldn’t pass this one up so I’m trying to bring it back before it’s gone.
Any suggestions on how to get it to come back.  I trimmed the brown off some of leaves.  Repotted it and watered it 2 weeks ago tomorrow.  The soil is still wet in some places according to my water meter stick after 2 weeks!!!
I used Miracle Grow cactus, Palm citrus potting mix, orchard bark and perlite. I have a afternoon south facing sun and I cut off one of the limbs.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Nicole, welcome to Palmtalk!  I just recently got one myself from a April order from Floribunda so I don't have much experience to relate but I have read posts from members here that they will brown-tip if not given enough humidity.  Also your soil mix might be holding too much moisture (maybe just the original stuff around the roots).  I'm not familiar with Miracle Gro Cactus Mix but their regular potting soil gets mucky after awhile and not good for palm growing.  If you haven't already I would rinse off ALL of the old mix from the roots and start with fresh mix.  If your new mix doesn't drain well I would add more perlite or pumice to your mix.

I used to live in Lithia Springs if you know that area!

@leatherman

No personal experience myself either but here’s a couple links with some info regarding soil and environmental preferences.

@Fusca I got some Floribunda seedlings earlier this year as well (August). Took a month and a half but they all finally went from 1 strap leaf to two.

Here is my FB palm.  It arrived with the dark tip on the one leaf and I haven't bothered to trim that leaf tip.  I just got back from a week trip out of town so it was a bit thirsty.
