That is still an attractive palm even though it wasn't what you were planning on.  I have 3 and there is a little variation among them, which shouldn't be too surprising given that they are all hybrids.  I think I remember reading a string on this a while back, but does this hybrid produce viable seed?  Mine have normally aborted the inflorescence prior to any seed developing.  Back to your original post, the new one looks like what I remember the young ones looking like.

You’re right, I still enjoy it, just disappointed since it’s in a prime spot. That’s a beauty you have there, definitely would be nice if they would set seed

This is what my Foxy Lady looked like as a juvenile 8 years ago.  It’s about 20 feet tall now. Most of the ones I’ve seen had leaves like these. Being a hybrid though, there’s lots of variation in their characteristics.

Jim... It was a volunteer that popped up right at the base of the mother foxtail.. I waited too long to dig it up and relocate... I lost most of its roots, that were tangled in the mother palms... I keep hoping another will pop up, that I can spot while younger and moved easier.

Here is the post I did on it...
