Gets some lower leaf spots with the Winter chill but has grown fast for me here in Cape Coral.  Planted on the north side of my house about 4 years ago as a 1 gallon seedling from Meg.

What do you think?  Need some opinions here.  The leaflets are lax and do not split at the tips.  I cut many tips off that were brown when I received  the plant but there is a new leaf opening.  It was purchased as alta which is now apparently synonym to barbadensis.  If anyone could give their opinion I'd appreciate it.

My Cocos Nucifera has 3 new seed pods coming out for the first time.  This was planted in May 2016 as a sprouted coconut.   Thanks to @PalmatierMeg for this beauty.  Now we will see when it opens if it is a hybrid or a true Spicata.  Very nice color to the petioles and the seed pods are bright orange...will keep you posted.   The leaves are longer than my hybrid dwarf green Coconut so could be a hybrid anyway but still a beauty.
