Hey guys was just out tooling around in the back and noticed this. Looks like a new shoot is growing out of the top of an existing shoot. This normal?

Also sorry they're more night pics, I'll work on not being so nocturnal haha

Any chance it might be flowering?  I haven't seen one at that particular stage, but usually the flowers are surrounded by those thinner blades that I can see in your photo.

There are a number in the same clump that have or are currently flowering, I'd go get a pic to show the difference but a giant hummingbird moth just chased me into the house

Here are a few more pics. What's coming out of the leaf in question looks an awful lot like the new shoots I see during propagation. I'm even seeing what looks like leaflets starting. Very possible it is just a larger inflorescence tho..
