Hard to find in San Diego, but this looks to be a beauty..

A 15gal Jubaea Chilensis. 860 for plant and planting, includes a 'gravel lined sump / breather pipe'. Wasn't aware these palms require a breather pipe.

I need to find a spot for this! Only place I can see in my yard is on a slope, which would get full sun from morn till eve.

Welcome thoughts/other considerations.

Maximum sun exposure is best.  Nice palm !  Jubaea doesn't like pots, so plant now.  :)

Give it both vertical and horizontal space; the trunk will get about six feet in diameter. Full sun if possible.

So now I'm considering getting a second 15gal. 2nd one would go into a spot with full morning sun to about 2pm, then partial sun in late afternoon.

Is that okay? I assume it would just mean that it won't grow as fast as the other one in the full sun on slope.

thats correct chris. the more sun the better but it will probably not get as robust.  i wish i had more land to plant another one.  happy planting.  glad you found one.  just fyi, once they are established they are pretty much worry free.
