Nice Minor Volunteer

Recommended Posts

A lot of Minor seedlings  come up where you don't want them ,  like right up against the sidewalk or driveway ,  but when I was cleaning out a certain jungly area of my yard  ( an overgrown butterfly bush )  ,   I happened to see a nice shapely small palm in a perfect spot . I think I will take care of this one and let it get large . I really never knew this Minor was there  until I pruned back that wildly out of control  butterfly bush .

Anyone else have a nice shapely volunteer  , of any variety of palm ,  that popped up  in the "perfect spot " ?

Will

This Sabal palmetto was one of many volunteers I have to pull every once in awhile. This one looked like it would frame the window out nicely with its mother on the right so I left it. Its about 3 years old and this happened before I knew how addicted to palm trees I was.
