Can’t be sure of exact Sabal species, looks to me like palmetto. Definitely a larger trunking Sabal. The midrib, recurved leaves, and the old leaf bases piling up are dead giveaway. It’s crazy it’s that big in that nursery bag!

Looks like it was just dug out of the ground and put in a bag?  Not to rain on the parade but if this is so it may die over the next few months.

Nice, may I ask what you paid for it? I'd get it in the ground, asap! I agree with Allen about this being a trunking palm. Hard to say what variety, if any, but I'd check with what the nursery usually has in stock..

Paid 500 rand its quite expensive around here for palms its already planted.here in south africa sabals are rare. Plants here are cheap if you do the conversion like $35 would get you a 60 liter plant they sell the palm as cabbage palm.
