Hey All,

I think a few of us bought these, but is it too early to tell if I really have a Birmingham? I am finally getting a new leaf and it is indeed very blue, more so than my minors, Brazoria and Louisiana. Makes me hopeful it’s really a Birmingham.

Anyone else have thoughts on it or experience identifying?

Thanks in advance - Nate

I think it's really hard to identify these till they get several years old.  Since all of them are crosses of some sort they all look different.  The easiest way to tell you have a palmetto cross of some sort is when they get big the fronds are more elongated and taller and it won't flower.   The minor always have shorter stockier and thick fronds and will flower when 3-5foot tall.

Ah ok thank you! I was surprised with the amount of blue but I know minors can have that trait too.

Mine is also really blue, but it should be a minor.

Woa that is really really blue. Love it. If it is McCurtain I may need one.
