More yard pics (Spring to now before and after)

What a hot, wet summer we’ve had in the Midwest. Looking back at some spring pics, holy smokes. Not only have the palms loved it, everything has. Although I had to treat several landscape plants for fungus this year… Worth it for the growth!

Needle looks kind of the same, definitely fuller. Opening frond 3 of the season on the main trunk but the pups have all pushed at least one out too.

Hope you enjoyed. Beyond finishing the fronds that are almost open I don’t think I’ll get much more from them besides the Trachy this year. I wish this was my permanent home but hopefully the next owners will get to enjoy the needle and minors. I will leave them a note letting them know what is growing in the yard

Everything looks great. How soon after Labor Day does your growing season end?

Thank you! Our first frost is usually mid October on average. Although mid September on it cools quite a bit to the mid to low 70s as highs and 50s at night. That lasts until November with occasionally cooler and hotter days. The Trachy will probably be happy until mid to late November but I will probably dig it up since I’m moving in the spring.

Everything looks perfect and love how your using other plants and structures (fence, walls, plants) to give winter wind protection.  I hope you like your new place.

Thank you! I tried to position them in the best microclimates I had available. The only one I am letting nature decide beyond some burlap and mulch is the minor by the shed. Everything else is well protected naturally and with the foundation. With some added protection I have high hopes!
