Jubaea Soil

2nd Jubaea post… trying to figure out where to plant this thing.

Should it go into organically rich, heavy soil?  Or should it go into sandy, alkaline soil?

I know some palms prefer the first, some the second, and some don’t care in the slightest.

I used both.  I planted mine in heavy soil deep with sandy soil on top of that.  Seems to be growing fast.  Photos are one year apart.

Mine here in NE Florida is in the native, sandy loam soil which looks like the photo below.  It is growing quite well....

My soil here is like that and lots of clay and sand :blush2:
