Hey Everyone :),

I would like to know what is going on with my Windmill Palm seedlings?, Why are most of them curling really bad? Is it too much sun or heat, I am at a loss or is this just what they do?

Thanks a lot :D

A couple of my Livistona decora are doing the same thing.  But as you can see the newest strap leaf is straight.  Don't want causes it but should be fine IMHO.

I've had needle palms do this, and some trachys but not quite to that extent.

One of my CIDP seedlings did this too, no others in the batch did it. Ive never had this happen to me before, but it sounds like it’s fairly common/normal though. I won’t be culling it after all!

I had a Sabal minor seedling with spiral growth for the first year and a half, but I can no longer distinguish it from the rest of the batch.

Hi :), Did the second spade come out straight? I am wondering why so many with mine though?

Every leaf was twisted on the plant until the 8th or 10th leaf emerged.

I was hoping that the growth would have continued.

Don't throw them out! You may have discovered a highly desirable and funky variety of  Trachycarpus if they stay that way.
