Take them seriously.  Not like I did.  My Seifrizii is a trunk lighter after being blown over in its terracotta in its stand so when it fell off the deck and I got to it the whole plant was upside down on the lawn.

*visualizes having to bring all my palms inside if we get a hurricane*

 

*has massive anxiety attack*

 

I didn't have any plants when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston (that's a lot of H's), but the only grocery trucks that were running were the pork truck and the Heineken truck - so - we literally put a little Weber grill in the garage and lived off of ribs and Heineken for 2 weeks. Def had worse experiences with hurricanes.

Sorry for the loss.  Tip-If you can't bring them in water them good to make them heavier or pull pots together touching each other.

This usually works, but if the wind is high enough your palms become dominoes lol

Yup. We had a storm in December that blew everything over - even the Washy.
