Sabal Louisiana.... full palmate leaves, growing, uninterrupted through our recent 18F lows! Beautiful \ S. Birmingham - The first one I put into the ground to replace some of my losses from last year... growing nicely, blue'ish color on the fronds, and finally has its first palmate leaf. S. Brazoriensis I love how big brazorias leaves are! Those bad boys are set up for a big growing season there!!! How many leaves you think they’ll put out this year?

I went to pick up some plants I ordered and they gave us visitor passes and cut us loose to explore the whole botanic garden there.

Those and sabals are the only 2 of my favorite plants I had enough time to take pics of and we were there for 4 hours. It’s really unbelievable to see in person. I have to go back, so they claim they have the most species of agaves planted in the world, just didn’t have time to dedicate to really checking everything out. I think we got really lucky getting passes, usually closed to the public except for certain days of the year. You have to go!
