This tree I bought from Kevin weaver as a liner . Solid white when I first got it . I potted it in a 1 gallon were it sat for a year . Then I decided to plant it . Here it is now . This palm takes zero care . It has a drip line plant and forget it . It’s about 3 and half foot tall now I’ve had it for 4 years  . Let’s  see some others !!

These are really cool palms; they really seem to do well inland. Near the coast, they grow well for a year or two and then just croak. I suspect cool humidity is something they hate..

Mine is also from Kevin Weaver. Kinda wish I bought a few more. This sulked in a pot and really came to life once it was in the ground.

Looking good . Looks slight larger than mine. When did you get it and how big was it from Kevin? Your looks like some shade ? Mine is full riverside sun .

Mine gets morning sun and filtered afternoon light. I think I bought it 4 years ago as a strap-leafed seedling. Every summer it looked like it was going to die in its pot and it would lose the lower leaves. I think that’s why I put it in a more protected spot...

My first experience with this species was at the garden of Mark in Oceanside who had one growing on the side of his house. He told me it was a favorite palm and so I kept it on my short list. I don’t know if he follows PalmTalk, but his was pretty good sized and that was 6-7 years ago when I visited his place.
