Brown on Trachycarpus leaves.

I had a customer come into my work with questions about his trachycarpus leaves. I told him that I wasn't sure what was going on but I would try to find an answer. That brown is at the base of some leaves. And it's not on the older fronds, more on the newer ones. Does anyone know what is going on with his palms? Thanks

I had something like this show up on one of my waggies after that blistering heat and dry winds we had during that labor day wind storm that caused all of our fires next year.  At first I though it was all dried out from the sun and wind,  but what I think now is that the sun was reflecting off a window and burnt a couple fronds only on one side of the palm.

Oh I see. That's good to know. That is probably exactly what happened to those fronds. I appreciate you letting me know.
