What's my D. Lutescens doing?

Anybody know what's going on with this one? I mean, I'm a novice but none of the new leaves have ever looked like this before.

This clump is more or less a salvage project, UPS had a field day destroying the box last year and I had to pluck a few dead trees out of it. Saw this today and figured I'd ask y'all.

I think that’s a pup my friend.  ^_^ I had two deformed ones too.  All this dypsis talk is making me depressed haha!  I lost the second one I pulled John.  Thought it turned the corner past transplant shock but it didn’t and went down fast.

Sorry for your loss

It's just weird that this is coming out all deformed and mutated looking compared to all the new leaves I've been getting

I wish I took a picture of how bad this plant looked when it showed up last year.

The box looked like it had been run over with a truck. Half the fronds were buried in the dirt, the box had obviously been soaked and punched and kicked, half the soil was spilled out, it was horribly taped shut, etc etc but it was during lockdown and I didn't wanna risk going to Home Depot to save $30 so I figured I'd try to save it.

It's normal, nothing to worry about.
