Sorry about the poor lighting, but the photo angles were extremely limited.  This unlabeled crownshaft palm in the foreground is the one in question with a Cryosophila warscewiczii behind it.  Fruits are small, round and bright red about ½" in diameter somewhat resembling Archontophoenix fruit.  Seeds are round and dark with no fibers about ¼" in diameter.

Thanks Eric, I think you nailed it.  Growth rings are about 3 inches apart so perhaps var. navasana.
