Extra Germinated Seeds (Phoenix sylvestris)

Recommended Posts

I have some extra germinated Phoenix sylvestris (or possible hybrids) seeds to give away.  At least two seeds showing germination through the baggie (more seeds may yet germinate).  These were sourced from a palm growing at the RIM in San Antonio, Texas (prior to the Great Texas Freeze of 2021).  I am willing to ship for free to the lower 48; just agree to give them a good home.  PM me if interested (first come, first serve).

Just want to thank you @GoatLockerGuns for the sprouted seeds.  There were 5 in total but 3 still have not popped above the soil, they are still there.  Did the palms you collected the seeds from survive the freeze?

They did! I drove by the RIM the other day, and all of those palms are pushing multiple fronds!
