Dypsis decepiens

Double spear coming up on my potted Dypsis decepiens. Indication of the trunk splitting into two separate trunks or just two leaves emerging at once?

Also, tip leaf burn on this palm seems inescapable no matter what I do. Quite a prima donna. Anyone have any thoughts on that? Maybe just bc it’s still in a pot?

Got any pics? Could have bifurcated.

Not sure on your leaf burn, might do better in the ground. Most of the time palms do

Where were you able to get get this guy from?

Flora Grubb nursery in San Francisco. They usually always have them. I got lucky and got a bigger one last fall. All the ones they’ve carried since are much smaller.

Best plant it out unless you plan on keeping it as a pot plant.

Planning on keeping it potted up for a little while until I’m ready to hire landscapers to do my front yard.
