Hello,

i removed the winter shelter from my musa basjoo and the trunk was all soft till 10cm over ground. Is the basjoo still alive and will the trunk regrow or do i have to wait for new kids? I sheltert it with dry leafs and minimum temperature was -13 Celcius. Sorry for my bad english and for writing mistakes i have a german auto correcter.

I'd cut off anything squishy and rotten. If the existing trunk is ok just above the base, then lop the nasty part off and it might regrow.  If not then it'll grow new pups fairly soon.
