This is a general update with more concrete information coming this coming weekend (May 15th, 2021/May 16th, 2021).  Tentative time for Leu is 10AM, then planning on a BBQ lunch in the Lake Nona area ~1pm.  After that, a visit to MB Palms.  We're planning on having a list of palm species that will be available for purchase as well as an auction.  The usual "things to bring" list includes a chair, a side/dessert/salad, a mask, and a plant for the auction.

For those planning on attending, you should have received an email with an Excel price list for MB Palms.  In addition to the usual items to bring, you may want to consider sunscreen (and an umbrella) as well.

Only a couple of days left until the meeting.  Looks like there is a chance of showers the day before and the day of the meeting, so it wouldn't hurt to bring an umbrella just in case:

At this point, just a save the date to get the word out.  The plan is to meet at Sunken Gardens at 10am, then lunch on your own, then reconvene at Kopsick Palm Arboretum.  More details will be made available as they are finalized.

We obtained Tahina spectabilis seed from the first batch that was offered and received them in April 2008, We have planted 7 Tahina palms at Leu Gardens from this seed batch. Almost all of them were planted near other Madagascar natives.

      1. acc# 090230, planted July 2009, located in the Palm Garden, growing next to a Hyphaene coriacea (formerly H. shatan) from Madagascar seed.
