help! Majesty palm

Hi I'm a new majesty palm owner. I've had this for about 2/3 weeks and have been watering every week and a half. The palm is in the shade with a south facing window.

Anyways. I've noticed these brown spots all over the leaves. There's no signs of bugs that I can tell. Is this okay?https://linksharing.samsungcloud.com/xaG0Bl7ytqnX

Looks like leaf spot or blight, which is difficult to pin down the cause.  I have a bit on some different species.  Without further pics of the whole plant and your potting medium it’s tough, but even then it could be multiple causes.  If it’s fungal, then copper fungicide would help, but if not then?

and if it’s fungal, maybe you also have gnats flying around?  That would be an explanation. Some diluted 3% hydrogen peroxide helps with mine.  The only way you can overwater your ravenea though is if it’s in a bad mix.  Mine are pigs for H2O, every day.  I soak and let it all run out and if I miss a day they are angry lol
