Just wanted to share how proud I am of my germinated Sabal Causiarum seedling from @PalmatierMeg

That's amazing! Always a joy to see the first leaf pop up above the soil!

@PalmatierMeg 6/10 germinated. 4 succumb to mold. That is the only one out of soil at the moment. Either way, exciting!

Nice! Mine have yet to germinate, though I haven't been giving them any supplemental heat so that might cause the process to take a bit longer. What method did you use to germinate yours?

@NC_Palm_Enthusiast I used a shallow food storage container with small holes poked in the top for some ventilation, and damp sphagnum moss on a heat mat set to 85F.

3 germinated in about a week and a half, the other 3 germinated some time later. 2/6 have emerged now.

I used this same method for my adonidia seedlings as well and got 100% germination from 35 seeds or so.

In the past I've tried perlite, vermiculite, coco coir, etc.... Sphagnum, moisture, and a heat mat seems to work best for me.

Gratuitous Clarinervium background shot.  I ain't mad, it's on my want list.

Those are actually crystallinums. I have about 20 of them along with a few mysterious hybrids, and a magnificum.

Clarinervium have more ovate leaf blades, and are deeply lobed.

@Fallen Munk Roughly 2 weeks or so before the first few popped, and then another couple of weeks for the last.
