Last Monday a new palm garden bed was created and planted out with more planting to come.

Some species planted were Chuniophoenix hainanensis, Dypsis andapae,  Astrocaryum mexicarnum, Sabal sp Lisa,

Dypsis pinnatifrons, Dypsis rosea,  Dypsis sp, Licuala elegans to name a few.

There has been a lot of rain this summer and the palms are really growing fast.

Well, I should have looked further down the board in reference to an earlier question I had about the SBG collection.

Hi Tim,

A lot more palms species for you to see since your last visit.

Have a bout 30+ more species being germinated by a few supporters/ helpers so the collection can be added to.

Look forward to your next visit to show you the added species in a few Botanic gardens, the growth rates have exploded this year as we have has regular rain.

regards

Colin
