Windmills in Tennessee

Getting settled in east Tennessee near the Smokies and of course seeing palms is a bit exciting! Was in Knoxville (zone 7a) the other day and saw 2 nice Trachycarpus fortunei.

Cool deal.  There are a FEW palms around.  Usually hidden in peoples yard.

I’m surprised to see windmills in Knoxville, but I love it! 

It’s almost more fun driving through the “transitional” states where you get to play palm scavenger hunt versus just seeing them commonplace in FL!
