No matter how much of a fan you are/were of the Dodgers, or not.. Let alone baseball in general, pretty much everyone recognizes the name, and the indelible mark he made on a National past time for so many..  May he rest in peace.

A Class Act.  A great ambassador for baseball.  Reflecting, that was when my interest in the Dodgers and baseball in general faded once he left.

Even though being from So Cal we all rooted for the Yanks in the '77 and '78  WS just because, and only because, of the Dodgers having Lasorda and Garvey. Apple pie, Mom, and Dodger Blue:floor2:, what a joke. Well, with age comes wisdom, and my friends and I began to grudgingly respect Tommy and what he stood for. He was a great ambassador for the game and his legacy will show that he was a helluva manager and motivator. As for Garvey? Still hate his guts.

Just the opposite for me.. Always loved the Dodgers, and hated the Yankees..

Got this off of Facebook.
