Gaussia gomez-pompae Rose Pink Seeds

My largest Gaussia gomez-pompae has a small crop of ripening fruit. I was expecting those seeds to turn bright scarlet red like Gaussia maya but these marble-sized fruit are turning an appealing rose pink. I recently read that the Gaussias staggers episodes of flowering and fruiting over the course of the year while most palms flower and set seeds only once a year. And my Gaussia gomez-pompae is also flowering and setting fruit while also carrying a ripe crop. For lovers of cute and confusing common names, G. gomez-pompae is called the "Caribbean Bottle Palm" as are several other different species. Go figure. Unfortunately, G. g-p outgrows its nifty fat base over time and mine has done that. It is now 10-12' high and has been an easy grower for me. And it is cold hardier than the Hyophorbes.

Just to the right of it is a juvenile G. g-p I grew from seed and it shows the typical bottle shape.
