Hello,

I’m looking for a good price on a rainbow eucalyptus on the smaller side or seedling. I’m located in Port St. Lucie FL

I don't know if they still do it, but Larianne Garner from Aroidia Research used to be big into those.  It may be through a different company name, but a Google search of those names should get you there.

If you can travel, might contact Calusa Palms over in Naples.. Has 7 gals listed in their current inventory, Pretty sure they have sold 3 gals in the past. Lots of other good stuff on the list as well atm.

not to be a negative nancy....but people need to know that the rainbow eucalyptus is one of the most brittle trees i have ever had the pleasure to have growing in my garden... i have three of them and i've decided to take them all out due to the fact that a recent mild (30mph winds) Santa Ana here in CA snapped a good sized branch right off one of the trees.

just my two cents...

Thank you. Rainbow eucalyptus are some of the most dangerous trees in a hurricane you will ever see and they can grow 200' tall. We had a 40' and 30' specimens that totally failed during Irma. One of them just missed taking out my garden shed. Fortunately neither was near the house because those @$%*(%! things will tear up building foundations with their roots. Our "regular" eucalyptus fell into the street and shattered. If I had my way I wouldn't let another rainbow within a 1/2 mile of our home but my husband insisted on replacing the one that almost destroyed the garden house in the same spot and grouses because I didn't want him to replace the second. And they litter the yard with leaves, twigs and branches.

I'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade.

I read that as well about rainbow eucalyptus, even worse than the cursed water oaks that used to populate my lot.  I think they are really cool looking, but I passed up on buying one.

I am completely aware of how weak they are. I already have one as far from any structures as I could possibly get it on my property. I had a coworker who was looking for one and and even though there are a surprisingly large number of them around here they aren’t super easy to find for sale.

These are available on the West Coast in 7G for $50 or Homestead 7G for $30-$50.  They have all sizes in Homestead from 3G to 65G.  I’m sure you can find them in West Palm Beach area and possibly closer to you.  Just have to keep you eye out.
