I dont know if anyone here is in Fiji or not, but Fiji could be hit by a cyclone with winds up to Cat 5 intensity. Prayers going out for everyone in Fiji. Hoping this is the LAST thing 2020 throws at us.

Yikes. Any idea what areas will be hit? The mainland will fare better then some of the outer islands but not by much. Wonderful place and people, but once you get outside of the city many still live in thatch huts and/or are extremely isolated on the outer islands.

Forecast by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center in Hawaii. According to this forecast, it is not expected to strike with winds equal to Cat 5 intensity, but 130 knots is not far from the threshold at 150 mph.
