WTB Trachycarpus princeps seeds or seedlings

Fallen Munk

Recommended Posts

With no Trachycarpus princeps seeds collected from Stone Gate in 2020 due to the pandemic and heavy rains, I'm looking for anybody that may have some they've produced from their private collection.  Shipping to USA.  Not looking for hybrids, I have a few of those.  Thanks in advance.

The harvest for this year is over and Gerry says that next harvest isn't until late 2021.  He said they were not able to collect seeds this year from Stone Gate due to rain and the pandemic.  I've had a standing order since last summer.

How much are you looking for them @Josh-O and how many do you think you can ship in one box?

I have 2 princeps seedlings. I think they are the green variety. At least that is what I was told they were princeps

I have two one gallon plants on the way thanks to @Josh-O.  Still waiting on seeds from coldplant next season but these two will hold me over until then.

I think these are next on my list as soon as I can make room. My tiny apartment is already a jungle. And it doesn't look like I'd have to keep moving these inside every time it drops to 40°F lol

I've been wanting some for awhile.  I've got some waggie X princeps hybrid seeds germinating too.  Real curious how those will turn out.

I've got two princeps planted outside, and I have not noticed that they are any slower than regular fortunei.  Even with the cooler weather they're still growing, albeit a little slower.  They do seem to handle full sun quite well, and appear to be more drought tolerant than fortunei at the same small size.

In Dallas- princeps has been ALOT slower than regular fortunei, but the leaf form and color is beautiful.
