These are hardier than you'd think, but maybe not as far North as you are. If you go to the CFPACS meeting in Micco next Saturday, you will see a large one, growing on the mainland, next to a pond at Jason's place. It survived the 2010 winter and is spectacular.

Wow that is awesome, especially for Micco. For some reason this is thought to be an extremely cold sensitive palm, not sure exactly where that came from. These things sailed through 2018 winter in Pinellas County as one-leafers at 32F.

Floribunda Palms lists (really robust) seedlings often. Fairly cheap and they ship to California. I've ordered them before for planting at our farm in Central America.
