Hi all!

I’m terrible at Palm IDs. Is this a Sabal minor? It is growing the ditch behind my house. It might just be a young Sabal palmetto but it does not look too costapalmate. I’m hoping it is a minor as Sabal palmetto and Serenoa repens are very prolific here.

Thanks!

Looks like a Saw Palmetto. I'm not too much of an expert but I did read recently that the saw palmetto is prolific in Florida. I'm not sure how they differ from Sabal Minor other than the leaf form. Also Saw Palmetto seed extract is a popular supplement since it helps to boost male hormones by some process where a percentage of the testosterone used in maturing is made more available for other man things :p

My vote is for Sabal Palmetto.
