Some of you guys will be well aware that following our last Bi in the DR a few members secided to go on to Cuba.

I was tempted but did not go for two reasons 1) I dont like Fidel or his brother and 2) I dont like communism.

Apologies moderator but that is about the only "political" thing I have ever said and it will be my last.

Something positive now!

Apart from all the many Royals all over Cuba the Jardin Botanico Nacional boasts of at least - wait for it - 162 species of palm.

Now I know why those guys went:

Temptation and good botanical intentions!

The road to hell etc.

Sorry Frank - I copped out ie. I didnt go, tho the palms are truly fantastico!

I personally wish that all countries around the world could be democracies and let the people decide for themselves.
