Does anyone have any phoenix dactylifera seedlings they are willing to ship?

It would probably be easier to just buy a pack of dates.  You'll get 90%+ germination and they sprout quickly.  I always have some growing out that I stick outside, so far one seems to be making it.

I have a bunch of dates my family picked off date palms in arizona. I'm trying those and also kinzyjr sent me a bunch of seedlings from his trees in florida. They are second gen and I'm already seeing improved moisture tolerance. I remember your YouTube video of your dactylifera. It's awesome! Please keep me posted on how it does

Any grocery store dates will do I was growing two varieties.  That one medjool is still kicking, without overhead protection.

How many types of dates can you usually find in grocery stores? Also without overhead protection do they spot like filifera and stuff?

Medjool are the most common but I have gotten Deglet noor and Barhi as well.  Depends on the store really, but if you keep looking you will occasionally find something other than Medjool.  Without overhead protection they usually just die - too wet.  The one survivor is the anomaly, I have to think the brick its against helps with reflected heat, and the house must somehow provide some overhead protection as rain doesn't usually fall straight down.
