PALMS Journal printed copies

Pablo Palma

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I've recently joined the IPS, I'm studying to get my PhD in Mexico and my main interest is to read as much articles as I can from the PALMS Journal about several topics. My love for palms began about 3 years ago and hasn't stopped growing ever since.

I have a couple of questions regarding the IPS membership: Do printed copies that get sent outside the US can be traced? To me that's an important topic because in Mexico the local mail isn't a 100% reliable (don't know if people from other countries have this problem as well). My other question is: does the IPS sends an email or some type of notification to members when the copies get shipped? I don't know when my first printed copy is supposed to arrive (I joined on September 22 and don't know if I'm eligible to the September Issue).  I choose the airmail delivery option by the way.

That's all and nice to meet you all. Thanks!

@Pablo Palma Welcome to IPS!  Thank you for joining us!

I can't answer all of your questions, but I think I can help you get started reading.  If you have a computer and Adobe Reader you should be able to do the following:

  1. Login to your account using the link at (Fig. 1): https://palms.org/resources/palms-journal/
  2. After logging in, hover over the Journals/Books tab and then click on the PALMS, the journal of the IPS link (Fig. 2).
  3. You should be able to read the back issues there.  When I login, I can see the September issue, but I've been around for a little while now.
  4. You are encouraged to consider submitting your future research for publication: http://palms.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Instructions-for-contributors-rev-Jan-2020.pdf
  5. I'll let @PALM MOD or one of the other folks weigh in on your other questions.

First question - have you joined the free membership level, or the paying membership level? Only the paying members receive Journals.

Thanks to those of you who help make this a fun and friendly forum.

Thanks - I think your best bet is to contact Ari at www.palms.org

 Use this email - info@palms.org

If that doesn't work, get back to me.
