Pretty sure I got this clump from you several years ago, Joe:

That's a great looking clump!  About how many years is that from what gallon pot?  I've been thinking about buying one of the blue types from TCHP, but have no idea how fast they grow.

Planted it about 10 years ago as a 5 gal plant.  I want the blue form too.  The clumps can get quite large in diameter.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST FAN PALMS FOR PLACES THAT CAN GET SERIOUSLY COLD.

If you're in the Inland Empire, it's worth considering. They do need their water, but you can build water retention to help.

This has actually turned into one of my more favorite palms in my yard. Slow, steady growth. Tough. Hardy. And not common for Kalifornia, comrade. I planted mine in 2005 I believe and though it is a good clump of shorter stems, one or two stems are overhead now.

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.

You probably did get that from me Joe. 10 years from a 5 gallon and that is pretty good growth! Looks great! Wish mine in the ground looked that good.

I still have a few left folks
